March 25, 2026: Patch 1.00.03 for Crimson Desert introduces a new feature allowing you to stash items from your inventory. Let’s explore where you can find this new storage option.

Crimson Desert is packed with items, thanks to the multitude of systems integrated by Pearl Abyss. You’ll need bugs for dye crafting, ores, timber, and cloth for gear upgrades, ingredients for your mid-boss feast, and plenty of peonies for crafting Palmer Pills.

Managing all these items can quickly fill up your inventory. You start with a decent 50 slots, which can be expanded through side quests and upgrades, but as you engage in large-scale battles and loot countless enemies, space can become tight.

Initially, there was no option to store items outside your inventory, but with Patch 1.00.03, private storage has been introduced, allowing you to offload materials and ingredients for future use.

You can access your private storage at one of two locations, depending on your progress in the main story:

Keep in mind that once you unlock Howling Hill, the chest at the Freesword Encampment will no longer be available. Currently, there are no other storage options—any furniture you can place in your home, like cabinets and wardrobes, is purely for decoration.

The Private Storage chest offers 240 slots, but remember, it also collects items from enemies that despawn before you can loot them. If you’re nearing capacity but want to ensure unclaimed loot is gathered, you’ll need to monitor it and occasionally clear out space.

If you’re still feeling cramped between your Private Storage and inventory, consider these tips:

Also, limit yourself to one or two stacks of easily obtainable items, like cloth. You might even want to spend some silver to unlock Abyss Gear slots on unused armor you wish to keep if you find your inventory cluttered with Gears.
