Locating Blackbeard’s Treasure in Black Flag Resynced

Finding Blackbeard’s Treasure in Black Flag Resynced is a challenging endeavor compared to the other treasure maps in the game. This quest doesn’t provide any coordinates, so you’ll need to rely on your knowledge of the Caribbean. It’s a new addition in Resynced, but you can only access it after completing the Do Not Go Gently main quest.

The treasure map is hidden in Blackbeard’s hat, which kicks off the hunt, so you won’t miss it. Here’s a breakdown of where the map leads and how to navigate the area.

Blackbeard’s Map directs you to Anotto Bay (coordinates 590,245), located north of Kingston on the island’s northern coast in the Charlotte region. Upon arrival, you’ll encounter several pirate ships also vying for the treasure, and you’ll need to sink them before you can safely dock the Jackdaw.

Finding the treasure itself is fairly straightforward. Once you land, jump across the boats to your left and dive down to locate the sunken mineshaft. Navigate through the tunnels while avoiding sharks and sea anemones until you reach a section with wooden platforms, gunpowder barrels, and a group of enemies. Grab one of the kegs and carry it to the far side of the room where the rubble is (it will glow green when you hold LT on the controller).

Set the barrel down and shoot it to clear the rubble. Continue onward until you reach the cave where you’ll face Blackbeard’s former sailing master. Here, pick up another gunpowder barrel and carry it up the path to the right of the waterfall, where you’ll find another pile of rubble to destroy.

Inside, you’ll discover the treasure, but you’ll need to return to Great Inagua afterward to complete the quest. As a reward, you’ll receive Blackbeard’s portrait, which you can display in the loot cave area of your manor.
