Locating Ferrium Ore in Arknights: Endfield
Finding Ferrium Ore in Arknights: Endfield can be a bit of a challenge since it’s one of the rarer resources in Valley IV. You can only locate it in the Originium Science Park area, which requires significant progress in the main storyline to access.
Once you reach the area, you’ll need to advance even further to establish a power grid for your mining drills and unlock deeper nodes in the region. Here’s how to track down Ferrium Ore and what you need to do to mine it.
Ferrium Ore can be found in the Originium Science Park, but you’ll need to push through the story to unlock it. There are three Ferrium Ore nodes in this area:
The first node is relatively easy to reach when you enter from The Hub, but the other two nodes will be blocked by blight walls that require additional story progression to clear.
You have two options for mining Ferrium: you can attack the mineral node directly like any other, or you can automate the process. To automate mining, you’ll first need to unlock the Electric Mining Rig Mk.II by researching the Mining III technology located at the bottom of the Resourcing tree in the AIC Plan.
Additionally, you’ll need to establish power in the Originium Science Park for your drills. This can be achieved by completing the Outpost: Infra-Station mission, where you’ll set up an outpost just south of the Mountain Path Slope in the eastern part of the area.
While reaching this point requires some main story progression, once the outpost is operational, you can connect any Electric Mining Rig Mk.IIs you set up on the Ferrium deposits with relays, making the gathering process much smoother.
