The Intimidating Feline Codpiece treasure map in Avowed can be tricky to locate, as it’s tucked away on the eastern edge of Dawnshore. However, the treasure itself isn’t too elusive; I stumbled upon it while exploring near the Watcher’s Mirror. If you’re trying to find it using the map, be prepared for a bit of a hunt. The landmarks aren’t very clear, making it easier to discover by chance than by design. To assist you, I’ve outlined the exact location to uncover the intriguingly named Intimidating Feline Codpiece treasure map in Avowed.
When examining the treasure map, the cliffside path isn’t obvious unless you’ve ventured to the eastern edge of the map and seen the massive river gorge. The path depicted on the map runs almost directly beneath the Watcher’s Mirror landmark, but it’s best accessed from the party camp in the Rise, so that’s your starting point.
Inside, you’ll find a chest containing the Stelgaer’s Pride body armor, which automatically triggers Barbaric Shout when you take damage exceeding 30% of your maximum health. This Fighter ability interrupts enemies and makes your weapon attacks uninterruptable while increasing Stun damage. The armor also provides an 18% damage reduction, an additional 15% reduction, and boosts your stamina regeneration by 5% in Avowed.
Upon opening the chest, I also discovered 20 Silver Fenning worth 120 Currency, a Common Grimoire of the Elements, three Pelts, an Iron Chunk, and one Primal Water. While it may not seem like much, this cash and upgrade material will definitely come in handy for enhancing your gear in Avowed.
If you’re on the hunt for more loot in Dawnshore, be sure to visit Sanza in Hightown to purchase the Woedica’s Inheritance treasure map and the Totem of Rightful Rulership quest.
