Mizuki is undoubtedly one of the standout new heroes in Overwatch’s The Reign of Talon’s Season 1: Conquest, and that’s impressive given the five unique characters joining the lineup. With a binding chain and a healing hat, he brings a lot to the table.
Mizuki will be available in the game on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Unlike Anran, there won’t be a hero trial for early access, but he’s expected to be a strong meta choice.
As a 250HP support character, Mizuki offers a wealth of utility, featuring crowd control abilities and a teleporting rewind. Similar to Lucio, he can heal nearby allies, but you’ll need to deal damage and heal to enhance this aura. Mizuki is classified as a Survivor, granting passive health regeneration when using movement abilities due to the new subrole system.
Here are Mizuki’s abilities:
|
Ability |
Type |
Effect |
|---|---|---|
|
Spirit Glaive |
Primary weapon |
Throw a spinning blade that impacts enemies, dealing damage. This attack can ricochet off walls. |
|
Healing Kasa |
Ability |
Throw your hat to heal an ally, bouncing to nearby allies and healing you when it returns. |
|
Binding Chain |
Ability |
Launch a tethering chain that hinders the first enemy hit. |
|
Katashiro Return |
Ability |
Leap forward, leaving behind a paper doll. Reactivate the ability to return to the doll and gain increased movement speed while active. |
|
Kekkai Sanctuary |
Ultimate |
Create an area that heals allies and absorbs enemy projectiles from outside the sanctuary. |
|
Remedy Aura |
Passive |
Heals nearby allies, similar to Lucio. Healing scales based on resource generated by dealing damage and healing. |
Here are Mizuki’s perks, which you can unlock during matches:
Minor:
Major:
For Minor perks, Exposed Soul is a solid choice. Remedy Aura builds up quickly, so the 25% boost isn’t essential. However, the 30% bonus damage against crowd-controlled enemies is incredibly potent, allowing you to take down pesky flankers with ease.
When it comes to Major perks, your choice will depend on your team composition. Generally, Resonant Return is recommended for its enhanced burst healing. Quickstep is also a strong option for dive and brawl teams, so consider your allies’ picks before deciding. With many new sources of slowing effects from both new heroes and perks, increasing your movement speed to counter these debuffs is always a smart move.
