Onimusha: Way of the Sword Release Date and Launch Times Revealed

What’s that sound? Could it be the chime of five rings? Not quite, because those aren’t the rings Musashi had in mind. Instead, it’s a clever bit of wordplay leading us into the details about the launch times and release date for Onimusha: War of the Sword. Musashi is the main character, hence the joke. I’m just trying to keep things lively here.

If the recent review of Onimusha has sparked your interest in samurai action with its talk of a “sublime mix of classic Capcom action and weighty physical swordfighting,” you’re probably itching to know when you can slip on that demon gauntlet yourself. I’ve compiled the Onimusha unlock times below—no more puns, I promise. Maybe.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be available on PC at 12 am EDT / 5 am BST on Friday, September 4. Unlike consoles, which launch at midnight in their respective time zones, the PC version will have a simultaneous global release. So, if you’re east of a UTC -4 timezone, expect to jump in a few hours later than others.

Here’s the unlock time for various time zones around the world:

If your timezone isn’t listed, don’t stress about doing the math. I’ve got a handy countdown timer for you. Don’t say I never did anything for you except throw in some half-baked Book of Five Rings references.

There is a catch! If you’re planning to grab it on the Epic Games Store, preloading isn’t an option according to Capcom. But if you’re on Steam with the rest of the gaming community, you can get your game installed early, so you won’t waste any time waiting for downloads before diving into some demon-slaying action.
