As a tank main, it’s always exciting to welcome a new frontliner in Overwatch, and Domina is a fantastic addition to the lineup. With her large shield, impressive zone control, and railgun pistol, she stands as a formidable opponent to the long-standing Sigma.

Domina is one of five new heroes introduced in The Reign of Talon’s Season 1: Conquest update, launching on February 10, 2026, alongside Anran, Mizuki, Emre, and the ever-popular Jetpack Cat. Unfortunately, Domina is the sole new tank in this update.

With 650HP primarily from shields, Domina can hold angles much like Sigma. Her large shield may appear standard, but it’s unique in that each segment can be destroyed independently, creating a robust barrier. Classified as a Stalwart tank under the new subrole system, she experiences reduced knockback and slowing effects, allowing her to maintain control of space effectively.

Here are Domina’s abilities:

Ability

Type

Effect

Photon Magnum

Primary weapon

A medium-range beam that builds into a high-impact shot.

Barrier Array

Ability

Construct a large, circular, segmented barrier.

Sonic Repulsors

Ability

Push enemies back, stunning them if they hit a wall.

Crystal Charge

Ability

Throw an explosive crystal and reactivate it to detonate it.

Panopticon

Ultimate

Fire a barrier that imprisons enemies, blocking enemy projectiles, and detonating on expiration.

Reconstruction

Passive

Dealing damage with abilities restores shields.

Here are Domina’s perks, which you can unlock and choose from during a match:

Minor:

Major:

Domina’s perks can be quite challenging to select compared to other heroes—there’s often no clear best choice. For a minor perk, I usually recommend Efficient Design, as it enhances sustain and ground control, synergizing well with Domina’s Reconstruction passive. Plus, the Photon Magnum is already the longest-range beam weapon in the game, even with its limitations.

Choosing your major perk should depend on your team composition and playstyle. Disruptive Detonation is the most versatile option, as it can slow enemies, making it effective for pinning down enemy supports, dive tanks, or agile DPS heroes. Conversely, Power Move is ideal for countering close-range heroes, transforming your shield into a boxing ring.
