Tame the New Robot Eagle in Crimson Desert: Here’s How!

Taming the Iron Eagle in Crimson Desert is a bit easier than the Phoenix, but it comes with a higher price tag. This mechanical creature has a taste for rare metals like Mercury and Platinum, so you’ll need to gather some to gain its trust. Plus, there’s a puzzle to solve before you can summon this majestic bird.

Platinum is the most straightforward option for building trust, so let’s go over how to obtain a bar of it and where to find the puzzle that calls the Iron Eagle.

You can locate the Iron Eagle at the Hawkstone Ruins, just north of the “A” in Deleysia, on the far eastern side of the Crimson Desert continent. To tame this bird, you’ll need a few specific items:

I suggest opting for Platinum over Mercury, as it grants you +100 Trust with the Iron Eagle right off the bat. However, acquiring it requires a bit of effort.

The recipe for Platinum can be found at the top of the Great Gate of Urdavah, near Tommaso in Crimson Desert. Take the lift to the top, head left up the stairs, and enter the room filled with containers of green liquid. To your right, there’s a bookcase; crouch down to find the Platinum recipe on a low shelf. The recipe requires:

While you can obtain the Gold Bar through various means and purchase Holy Water at churches like those in Hernand and Senia, Brimstone and Mercury are trickier to find. You can mine both, which takes some preparation, but a quicker method is to visit Scholastone and build your relationship with the troll scholars there. This only costs 10 basic hide materials and can yield two Rubber, Mercury, or Brimstone.

Once you have everything, visit a Witch Vendor, select Craft Abyss Gear, and navigate to craft a Platinum bar just like you would for a Gold Bar. With that done, you’re ready to tame the Iron Eagle.

To summon the Iron Eagle, read the inscription on the pillar in the center of the Hawkstone Ruins. It indicates that you need to wait until 5 AM and then interact with the dial to the left of the inscription. This will call forth the Iron Eagle. Place the Sotdae of Bond from your inventory and interact with it to offer the Platinum as feed.

When the bird arrives, it will land and consume the Platinum, granting you 100 Trust. You can then approach and “Take in” the Iron Eagle, unlocking it as your pet.
