Tips for Finding Lead in Subnautica 2

Finding lead in Subnautica 2 can be a bit more challenging than hunting for titanium. While it’s not as complex as tracking down gold, this metal is still somewhat elusive, and I’ve only come across it in a specific area within the starting zones of the game. Lead isn’t used for much early on, aside from crafting the Sonic Resonator, which is crucial.

The Sonic Resonator is essential for mining larger metal and mineral deposits, and it also helps clear Angel Combs, allowing you to unlock new adaptations for thriving in this alien ocean. Here’s where you can locate lead to get started.

You can find lead in a ravine located about 280 meters northeast of the Lifepod. To reach this spot, you can follow a guide or navigate there directly.

Initially, lead isn’t necessary for much besides crafting the Sonic Resonator and producing germanium ingots in the Processor, which can also be made using silver.

However, it’s a good idea to gather some lead and store it in your base to avoid making multiple trips. Once you progress to the area near the Alien Ruins, you’ll find plenty of lead, making it much easier to collect.
