Top Characters and Tier Rankings for Arknights: Endfield
The best characters in Arknights Endfield can significantly enhance your experience in endgame content, provided you invest wisely in their optimal team setups. Many Support and Defender characters are versatile enough to fit into various team compositions, making early investment in them a smart strategy for future character development.
To help you determine which characters and teams to prioritize, these tier lists rank the top options available in Arknights Endfield, highlighting the best damage dealers and support characters.
Be prepared to experiment a bit to unlock some of these characters, so familiarize yourself with the reroll process and how to maximize your free pulls.
Here’s a rundown of the S-tier characters in Arknights Endfield:
Don’t overlook the free resources and rewards available through the latest codes!
These characters are expected to remain at the forefront of the Endfield meta for some time, either due to their exceptional damage output, like Laevatain, or their adaptability in various team setups, like Ardelia. Speaking of Ardelia, she stands out as the top Support character in the game, thanks to her healing and universal damage-boosting skills. Prioritizing her development, or pairing her with your main damage dealer, is highly recommended.
Antal, another Support character, may only be a 4-star, but he excels at boosting damage in Heat and Electric teams. In fact, Antal, Ardelia, and Laevatain form the backbone of the best team at launch, making them worthwhile investments for both immediate and future gameplay.
Pogranichnik is also a solid choice, offering SP recovery, an enemy-gathering Ultimate, and sub-DPS capabilities. However, he’s not as flexible as Ardelia and Antal, as he shines primarily in Crush or Breach teams. The next top damage dealer after Laevatain at launch is Last Rite, and since she’s a standard banner character, you might want to focus on her for your Permit pulls—if luck is on your side!
Here are the A-tier characters in Arknights Endfield:
Ember is another adaptable character who provides healing and shields for your team, though she doesn’t quite match Ardelia’s effectiveness. Still, pairing her with Ardelia can create a strong synergy, or you can use Ember in a different team composition to give Ardelia a breather.
If you’re looking for an Arts Reaction-based support, consider Gilberta, whose Combo Skill lifts enemies into the air during reactions. She’s also effective at grouping enemies, enhancing your AOE damage potential.
Next is Avywenna, the top Electric attacker at launch, primarily due to the absence of a 6-star Electric Striker. If you can master her somewhat complex playstyle, Avywenna can be just as impactful as Laevatain and Last Rite when teamed with Antal, Arclight, and Perlica—a great lineup for free-to-play players!
Yvonne is a strong Cryo DPS but is a limited-time banner character, while Last Rite is available in the standard banner. If you manage to pull Last Rite, Yvonne may not add much to your roster unless you’re a fan of her character.
Here are the B-tier characters in Arknights Endfield:
These B-tier characters serve as budget alternatives to S-tier and A-tier options, like Snowshine, or are solid free-to-play choices for newcomers, like the Endministrator.
In summary: Snowshine is user-friendly and can heal and restore some SP; Xaihi pairs well with Last Rite and boosts damage; Chen Qianyu is a free option that fits well in Physical teams; Lifeng is another great choice for Physical teams, especially if you lack Pogranichnik; and the Endministrator is a free 6-star Physical attacker who offers both damage and support.
Here are the C-tier characters in Arknights Endfield:
While these characters aren’t necessarily bad, they tend to be suited for very specific team setups or simply don’t perform as well as more easily obtainable characters. Generally, you should only invest in them if you need them for a particular lineup or if you have a strong affinity for the character.
Specifically, either Akekuri or Wulfgard can fit into one of the best teams alongside Laevatain, and Wulfgard can serve as a budget main DPS if necessary; Arclight and Perlica are essential for Avywenna’s optimal team; and Da Pan is a decent Physical main DPS, but the Endministrator is easier to build.
Unfortunately, Alesh, Catcher, Estella, and Fluorite find themselves at the bottom of the tier list. While they can help clear story content, they aren’t worth the investment compared to other characters available at launch.
