Top Team Compositions for Arknights: Endfield at Launch

In Arknights: Endfield, assembling the right team is crucial, even more so than in many other gacha titles. Drawing inspiration from Zenless Zone Zero, Endfield emphasizes party elements known as ‘arts’ and combo skills, allowing you to create synergies that can help you take down enemies efficiently, trigger arts reactions, or enhance your team’s abilities.

Characters in Arknights: Endfield shine either by excelling in specific roles—like Xaihi, the go-to Cryo support—or by being versatile options like Ardelia and Akekuri, who fit into nearly any team composition. Each art has its own powerful team combos that can be very effective when paired correctly.

Some combinations are more accessible for free-to-play players, with Electric and Physical/Cryo teams being solid choices, while pure Physical squads can be quite resource-intensive if you want them to perform optimally. Regardless of your pulls, this guide will help you identify some of the best team setups for each art.

Cryo Inflictor

Last Rite

Xaihi

Fluorite

Estella/Snowshine

For a Last Rite Cryo team, the key players are Last Rite and Xaihi. Last Rite is quite self-sufficient; she primarily needs to stack Cryo Infliction to fuel her combo skill, which regenerates her ultimate energy, something she can manage on her own.

Xaihi stands out as the premier support for Cryo/Cryo and Nature hybrid teams, offering healing alongside Arts Amp, Cryo Amp, and Nature Amp to boost damage output.

Adding Fluorite to the mix is a great choice, as her combo skill interacts well with Last Rite. When an enemy has two stacks of Cryo or Nature Infliction, she can jump in and add another stack, triggering Last Rite’s combo if it’s Cryo Infliction. Her ability to apply Nature Infliction also opens up the Corrosion reaction, which reduces enemy resistances.

While there’s no perfect fourth member for this setup, consider a character who can apply Cryo Infliction, like Snowshine or Estella. Unfortunately, Alesh isn’t very effective here, as he consumes Cryo Infliction to apply Solidification, which isn’t ideal for Last Rite’s combo.

Estella and Snowshine both have their drawbacks; Snowshine applies Solidification without any Physical Statuses to Shatter, and Xaihi already covers healing. Estella’s combo relies on Solidification, which won’t be present. Ultimately, Estella can help generate extra Cryo Infliction stacks, while Snowshine offers more healing and survivability.

If you manage to pull Yvonne from Laevatain’s banner and want to swap her in for Last Rite, Snowshine would be a solid fourth choice, as she can shield your damage dealer during her ultimate.

SP Battery

Healer/Amplifier

Laevatain

Wulfgard

Akekuri

Ardelia/Ember/Antal/Gilberta

In the fire team composition, the essential trio consists of Laevatain, Wulfgard, and Akekuri. Currently, there aren’t many Heat characters available, but Wulfgard and Laevatain synergize well. Wulfgard applies significant Heat Infliction, which Laevatain can then consume to stack Melting Flame, allowing her to inflict Combustion with her skill and generate ultimate energy. Wulfgard can then leverage that Combustion for extra damage.

Akekuri is a versatile addition to any team, and as a fire character, her skill applies Heat Infliction, making her an excellent battery in this setup, providing SP through her Stagger-based combo and ultimate. For your final character, having some healing is beneficial, so consider Ardelia or Ember. Gilberta is an even better option, but she’s harder to obtain until her featured banner.

Ardelia excels as a healer, and her Nature Infliction grants access to the Corrosion reaction, which reduces enemy resistances. While Ember is a Heat character, she doesn’t apply Heat Infliction, making her less effective in this context. Antal is also a strong candidate; despite being Electric, he inflicts Heat Susceptibility and Heat Amp through his skills and ultimate, plus he offers some healing with his Improviser talent, depending on your survivability needs.

If you manage to pull Gilberta from Laevatain’s banner before her featured appearance, she would be the ideal fourth member. She provides healing through her Late Reply talent, grants access to Corrosion like Ardelia, and inflicts Arts Susceptibility on enemies in an AoE, grouping them together perfectly for Laevatain’s ult-enhanced attacks.

Avywenna

Perlica

Arclight

Antal

For a free-to-play-friendly team, Electric is the way to go, as it requires no six-star characters. Avywenna serves as your DPS, launching Thunderlances with her ultimate and combo whenever a final strike hits an enemy with Electric Infliction or Electrification, dealing damage. To complement her, Perlica is the best character for applying both Electric Infliction and Electrification through her skill and combo, which also relies on final strikes.

Arclight pairs well with Perlica as an SP battery, as she combos on Electrification for extra SP and can consume it with her skill for additional SP and damage. Lastly, Antal can apply Electric Susceptibility and Electric Amp, boosting damage while increasing the damage enemies take. He also provides a bit of healing through his Improviser talent.

Healer/ Vulnerability Inflictor

Lifeng

Endministrator

Pogranichnik

Ember/Chen

Physical teams can be tricky since they often require six-star characters like Lifeng and Pogranichnik to truly excel. This isn’t the most advisable route, especially when you can create a free-to-play-friendly Physical/Cryo hybrid team that yields great results early on.

However, if you do have the necessary characters, Physical teams can be powerful. Lifeng serves as your main DPS, applying Physical Susceptibility with his skill and granting Link with his combo, which he can then consume with his multi-hit ultimate for massive damage.

Pogranichnik is the strongest Physical character, capable of Breaching enemies, consuming vulnerability stacks to increase the Physical damage they take. He also combos when Breach or Crush consume vulnerability, delivering extra attacks that generate SP. His ultimate summons Shieldguards that attack whenever a Physical Status is inflicted, making him extremely valuable for Physical teams.

For your other two characters, Endmin is a solid choice, as they can apply Crush with their skill, benefiting Pogranichnik, and their combo sticks unique Originium Crystals to enemies, which can be consumed by Physical Statuses for extra damage.

Lastly, consider Chen for her ability to apply vulnerability, or Ember if you have her. Despite being a Heat character, Ember inflicts a Physical Status with her skill and combo, and most importantly, she provides healing.

Healer/Shielder

Endministrator

Estella

Alesh

Snowshine

To navigate the challenge of Physical teams needing six-star characters, consider transforming your comp into a Physical and Cryo hybrid. This approach leverages the Shatter reaction, where applying a Physical Status to an enemy with Solidification (a frozen enemy) results in significant damage. Both Estella and Alesh are crucial for this setup; Alesh can freeze enemies using his skill by consuming the Cryo Infliction that Estella provides, while Estella’s combo applies the Physical Status Lift to Shatter them, also inflicting Physical Susceptibility.

Snowshine is another excellent addition, as she can heal, protect, apply Cryo Infliction, and freeze enemies with her ultimate. Endmin’s Crush is also effective for Shatter, as it consumes vulnerability for extra damage. Endmin is a strong choice for any Physical team due to the Originium Crystals they attach to enemies, which deal additional damage when hit with Physical Statuses. Alesh’s combo activates when an Arts Reaction is consumed, such as when Estella Shatters a frozen enemy, or when Originium Crystals are consumed, creating nice synergy between him and Endmin.

While this team may not be the most viable in the endgame, it requires only low-rarity characters and serves as a fantastic starting comp.
