You might think the Madden 26 best teams list is a bit off. At launch, Super Bowl finalists New England were tied for 15th place, while the champion Seattle Seahawks found themselves in a surprising 23rd. Meanwhile, the Ravens boasted the top-rated roster in the game, despite missing the playoffs and parting ways with Jim Harbaugh. Crazy, right? Keep reading to check out the top five rosters and the complete Madden 26 team rankings.

Here are the default top five teams in Madden 26, with last year’s Super Bowl champions settling for second place…

Lamar Jackson’s spot in the 99 Club on the Madden 26 best players list isn’t the only testament to the Ravens’ in-game prowess. Baltimore features nine players rated 90 or above, including powerhouse Derrick Henry at 98, and a defense led by Roquan Smith at 94.

The reigning champions may not hold the top spot, but they do have two players with the highest possible OVR of 99: cover star Saquon Barkley and right tackle Lane Johnson. Three other stars also shine in the nineties: Jordan Mailata (LT, 96), AJ Brown (WR, 93), and Jalen Carter (DT, 90).

Travis Kelce has been making headlines for announcing girlfriend Taylor Swift’s 12th album, but he’s still a dominant force in Madden, with a rating of 93 this year. Four Chiefs surpass him: Chris Jones (DT, 97), Patrick Mahomes (QB, 95), Trent McDuffie (CB, 94), and Creed Humphrey (C, 94).

99-rated quarterback Josh Allen showcases the new set of Madden 26 QB Traits, and the Bills roster is impressively balanced. With 16 players rated 79 or higher, they’re a solid choice for franchise mode, offering great depth in case of departures after the first season.

The battle for fifth place is a fierce NFC showdown, with Detroit and Minnesota sharing the same default rating. The Lions feature a standout duo in Amon-Ra St. Brown and Penei Sewell, both rated 96, while the Vikings boast Justin Jefferson, who also hits the max score of 99.

Here’s the complete list of Madden 26 team ratings, accurate as of the game’s release on Friday, August 15.
