Understanding Arknights Endfield Power Grids and Tips for Boosting Your Power Supply

In Arknights: Endfield, powering your base is crucial for keeping your machines operational, blending elements of factory simulation with open-world gacha gameplay. While basic machines don’t demand much energy, the complexity of your production lines will quickly push you to your power limits. Fortunately, there are straightforward methods to enhance your power output.

The primary tool for boosting your energy in Arknights: Endfield is the Thermal Bank. These devices efficiently convert Originium Ore and other resources into power for your base.

To access Thermal Banks, you’ll need to advance through the main storyline until you complete the mission titled Paving the Way. This unlocks the second tier of AIC upgrades in the tech tree. After that, simply use a Basic AIC Index to unlock the Power I technology.

Thermal Banks can be positioned in your base or at any of your outposts like standard factory equipment. They do require power to operate, so ensure they’re placed near an Electric Pylon!

Once you’ve installed a Thermal Bank, establish a supply line to keep it stocked with Originium Ore. You can allocate a full AIC output port to Thermal Banks or utilize a Splitter to divert some Originium Ore from another section of your production line.

While Originium Ore is sufficient in the early game, transitioning to Batteries for your Thermal Banks is advisable as you progress. Although they are more costly to produce (and can be traded with outposts for Stock Bills), Batteries are far more efficient than Originium Ore.

Aim to set up a Packaging Unit to combine Originium Powder and Amethyst Parts to create LC Valley Batteries as soon as you can. By this point in the game, you should have ample ingredients, so make the most of them!

Batteries not only last significantly longer than Originium Ore, but they also deliver much greater power to your base. For context, an LC Valley Battery generates over four times the power of Originium Ore. The power output improves even further with the SC and HC Valley Batteries, each surpassing the last.

Remember to install Thermal Banks at all your outposts to keep them operational as well. Since factory space is limited early in Endfield, distributing your manufacturing across different outposts is a smart strategy. You might even dedicate one outpost entirely to Battery production, freeing up valuable space for other devices elsewhere.
