Understanding Highguard Crossplay: A Guide to Playing with Friends

Highguard’s crossplay feature allows you to team up with friends on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, but the setup process isn’t clearly outlined in the game. Fortunately, it’s a straightforward system that requires you to add friends using the unique names generated by Highguard. However, the menu options can be a bit tricky to find. To help you connect with friends across platforms and enjoy Highguard together, here’s a breakdown of the process.

Crossplay is enabled by default in Highguard, so there’s no need to activate it manually. It supports PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, allowing players from all three platforms to join forces without separating PC and console users. All you need to do is search for and add your friends to your Highguard friends list, no matter what platform they’re on.

Once you’ve added a friend or two, you can easily team up through crossplay. Just click on their name and choose ‘Invite to Party’ to have them join you, or select ‘Join Party’ to enter their lobby. From there, you can start queuing for matches, where your first task will be to select which of the Highguard Wardens you want to play as.

If you prefer to disable crossplay and only play with others on the same platform, you can do this by accessing the game’s Settings menu, navigating to the Online tab, and toggling ‘Enable Cross-Platform Play’ to Off.
