Unlocking Moss in Arc Raiders: A Quick Guide

Can you believe it? Moss has been part of Arc Raiders since day one! It’s easy to miss this unassuming plant; its previous role was mainly to provide a tiny bit of healing and serve as a crafting material for Defibrillators. However, the Riven Tides update has given Moss a fresh purpose with the introduction of the Avian Alarm project.

Now, we’re all on the lookout for Moss to contribute to our bird sanctuary. What the birds do with it? Who knows, but that’s the requirement for the project!

The prime spot to gather Moss is on the branches along the Dried Riverbed, which stretches from the southern edge of the Riven Tides map up to the Port Authority Building in the north. This sandy area is littered with dried logs that can spawn one or two clumps of Moss.

I managed to collect 13 Moss in a single run here, which is more than enough for the Avian Alarm project. You can also find Agave in this area, needed for the fourth stage of the project.

Another solid location is inside the tall cylindrical planters in the Hydroponic Dome Complex, located in the northern part of Dam Battlegrounds. Moss frequently spawns here alongside other Nature items. However, after the latest update, I found it picked clean every time I checked, as it’s a popular spot for gathering Moss. The Dried Riverbed, on the other hand, was ripe for the picking since it’s a newer and less-known location.

You can also find Moss in the wicker basket containers scattered around the maps during the Lush Blooms modifier, though this condition only appears every few hours.

If you’re in a pinch, you can buy up to five Moss per day from Celeste for ten Assorted Seeds each. Since you need to donate 12 Moss to the Avian Alarm project, relying solely on this method would take you three days. It’s best to grab as many as you can from Celeste, then supplement your haul with some extra from the Dried Riverbed or Hydroponic Dome Complex to complete the project quickly.
