Unlocking Nook Points in Animal Crossing: Earning Tips and Their Uses

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there’s a unique currency known as Nook Points that you might not be aware of. Unlike traditional in-game currencies, Nook Points are tied to the NookLink service found in the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app, which is available on both Android and iOS devices.

Once you understand how to earn Nook Points, you’ll unlock access to exclusive in-game items. Who wouldn’t want to enhance their island experience? With a bit of dedication, you could be racking up Nook Points daily. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about Nook Points, including how to earn them, their purpose, and how to redeem them for special Nook Inc. rewards.

To start earning Nook Points, you’ll need two things:

Once you have those ready, you’re all set to begin. Make sure to log into the Animal Crossing section—NookLink—of the Nintendo Switch Online app each day to earn your daily Nook Points. Don’t forget to check the in-app Nook Points section to collect your points.

You can expect to earn 10 points each day, though it’s still uncertain if there will be bonuses for consistent check-ins or special events.

As you accumulate Nook Points, you’ll eventually be able to redeem them for exclusive items to use on your island. Currently, the selection of rewards is somewhat limited, and with only 10 points available daily, it may take a while to gather enough for all the items. No time travel shortcuts here!

Here’s a list of the available Animal Crossing Nook Points prizes:

Anything you purchase with Nook Points will be delivered directly to your mailbox in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You can also buy items multiple times if you have enough points.

While it’s unclear if the item selection will expand beyond the current six options, given that Nintendo frequently adds new content to the main game, it’s reasonable to think that this service might see similar updates in the future.
