Finding Darkbringer in Crimson Desert rewards you with an impressive two-handed sword—ideal for those who prefer a claymore and seek something more exciting than Rhett’s Longsword or the Balton Longsword. Darkbringer is a formidable weapon, featuring a detachable Abyss Gear that unleashes projectiles during Forward Slash attacks, setting it apart from other weapons like the Soul Spear.
Players who have defeated Crowcaller and experimented with the Crow’s Pursuit Abyss Gear know just how potent weapon abilities can be, especially when you enhance Forward Slash with echoing attacks from the skill tree. Here’s how to snag Darkbringer in Crimson Desert.
You’ll find Darkbringer in the northern part of Pailune, specifically at the White Wastes Sanctuary, located west of Silver Wolf Mountain, northeast of Five-Finger Mountain on the map, and north of Whisperleaf Fortress. Even if you’ve completed the Toll of Pailune and have the full map, the White Wastes Sanctuary remains shrouded in fog, but you can refer to the map for its location.
Upon arrival, you’ll encounter a partially unearthed giant skeleton, and within its mouth lies Darkbringer. This exceptional two-handed sword comes with the unique Abyss Gear, Ator’s Orb. When you execute a Forward Slash, it releases explosive orbs that can damage enemies.
Darkbringer also has full Abyss Gear slots available. Ator’s Orb should synergize well with Crow’s Pursuit, obtained from Crowcaller in the main story, which also fires bird-based projectiles on Forward Slash. You can likely stack both abilities. Plus, since it’s an Abyss Gear, you can detach it from Darkbringer and equip it on another weapon if you choose.
