The Soul Spear is one of the standout weapons in Crimson Desert, and for good reason. This unique spectral spear unleashes devastating blasts, making it a powerhouse in combat. While it packs a serious punch, acquiring this two-handed weapon requires a bit of effort.

No need to fret if you’re just starting out; you can actually sneak in and snag the weapon early on, giving you a significant edge right from the get-go. Here’s how to do it.

The Soul Spear is located in the Antumbra Ritual Grounds, found in the Argent Peaks northwest of Hernand city. Specifically, it’s tucked away in a cave on the cliffside, right at the tip of the “H” in Hernand on the map, surrounded by enemies. This chilly mountainous area may affect your stamina efficiency, but it’s not a major concern.

At the entrance, you’ll encounter a Warpriest, along with numerous archers and mages inside the Antumbra Ritual Grounds. However, you can bypass most of them by gliding down to a small room on the second lower level—look for the one with the broken bridge—where the spear is planted in the ground.

You won’t be able to pick up the Soul Spear while in combat, but there’s no need to eliminate all the foes. In fact, I didn’t. Just hide in the room with the weapon until you see the prompt to collect it. Be aware that a few flying wizards might come in, so take them out until the area is clear.

What sets the Soul Spear apart? Beyond its striking spectral look, it doesn’t come with any unique Abyss Gears. However, its special effect allows it to unleash damaging orbs whenever you execute a finisher on an enemy (those flashy kill animations), providing you with some extra damage. While the orbs don’t track enemies, they can be a lifesaver when you’re surrounded.
