US: Crunchyroll UK: Crunchyroll
The second season of Frieren Beyond Journey’s End is officially here, so if you’re excited to follow the adventures of the beloved white-haired mage and her companions Fern and Stark, it’s time to activate that Crunchyroll subscription.
While Netflix has the first season, to catch every new episode of this emotional fantasy anime, you’ll need an active Crunchyroll subscription. The service streams each episode shortly after it airs in Japan, accessible whether you’re in the US, UK, or anywhere else. Besides reading the manga, subscribing to Crunchyroll is your best bet to stay current with the series, but be aware that prices in the US and UK are set to increase. Starting March 4, 2026, the Fan tier will rise from $7.99 to $9.99 in the US and from £4.99 to £5.99 in the UK. Fortunately, there’s a seven-day free trial available, so you can test the waters before committing.
To watch Frieren Beyond Journey’s End in the US, becoming a Fan tier subscriber is your best option. You can also opt for the 7-day free trial, but with new episodes releasing weekly, you might not finish season 2 in time. If you’re patient, you could wait for the entire season to drop, but that means holding off a bit longer.
Originally, the Fan tier was priced at $7.99 per month, but expect to pay $9.99 monthly starting March 4, 2026. While the cost has increased, the benefits remain unchanged, allowing you to watch Frieren well ahead of Netflix subscribers and access a wide array of other new series that tug at your heartstrings.
Crunchyroll – Fan Tier | $9.99 per month. Fan Tier members enjoy new Frieren episodes, ad-free access to the entire library, the ability to download episodes offline on one device, and a 5% discount on select products at the US Crunchyroll store. Mega Fan Tier – $13.99 monthly. Ultimate Fan Tier – $17.99 monthly.
Crunchyroll is also your go-to for watching Frieren Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 in the UK. Similar to the US, prices in the UK are set to rise, with the Fan tier increasing to £5.99 per month.
Sticking with the Fan tier still grants you access to the latest Frieren episodes, along with a vast selection of anime and even some live-action dramas if that’s your thing. Currently, Crunchyroll has a deal for UK subscribers offering 16% off the 12-month Mega Fan plan, which usually costs £69.99 annually. This tier includes all the benefits of the Fan tier, plus access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault.
Crunchyroll – Fan Tier | £5.99 per month. Fan tier subscribers in the UK also enjoy ad-free episodes of season 2 of Frieren, along with free UK shipping on select products from the Crunchyroll store for orders over £65. If you’re looking to snag some Frieren figures and merchandise after each episode, you can get a larger 16% discount with the 12-month Mega Fan tier. Mega Fan (1 Month) – £6.99 monthly. Mega Fan (12 Month) – £69.99 annually.
The first episode of Frieren Beyond Journey’s End season 2 premiered on Crunchyroll on January 16, 2026.
Online images of the upcoming Blu-ray release suggest that season 2 will consist of only 10 episodes, significantly shorter than the 28 episodes of the first season.
If you’re new to the series and need to catch up, the entire first season of Frieren Beyond Journey’s End is available on Crunchyroll. Initially split into two parts, you can now binge every episode without interruption. It’s also available on Netflix and Hulu.
The latest episodes of Frieren Beyond Journey’s End season 2 are currently available only in the original Japanese with English subtitles, but the first episode is offered with both subtitles and an English dub.
Crunchyroll typically takes 2-3 weeks to release the English dubbed episodes, so if you prefer watching with English voice actors, you’ll need to wait a bit longer.
