Amazon Slashes Price on AMD’s Powerful Ryzen 7 7800X3D

# AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D Hits a New Low Price

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D continues to be a top contender in the gaming CPU arena, thanks to its impressive performance driven by AMD’s innovative single chiplet architecture. With eight robust cores and 16 threads, this processor excels in handling virtually any game you throw at it. Right now, it’s available for just £326, marking its lowest price in months and a significant drop from the original £450 retail price.

As the successor to the well-regarded 5800X3D, the 7800X3D has exceeded expectations with its outstanding performance. While it may not seem like eight cores and 16 threads would make it the ultimate gaming chip, its single chiplet design allows it to outperform the more expensive dual-chiplet models like the 7900X3D and 7950X3D. In benchmarks, the 7800X3D has shown remarkable results, achieving 96.7fps in Flight Simulator 2020 at 1080p and an impressive 299.28fps in Metro Exodus EE, surpassing even AMD’s own 7950X3D and Intel’s 13900K.

With a thermal design power (TDP) of 120W, this chip is not only powerful but also efficient, making it easier to cool. In my recent PC build, I paired it with a Noctua NH-D15 cooler, which is more than sufficient for this CPU. However, while the 7800X3D performs well in gaming, it does lag behind in content creation tasks compared to AMD’s non-X3D chips, such as the 7600X. Despite this, it can still handle content creation workloads effectively, as I’ve used it for re-encoding Blu-Ray rips in Handbrake without any major issues.

For gamers seeking a high-performance CPU without breaking the bank, this deal on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
