## The intense climbing game will be available for $30 on PlayStation 5 and Steam.

We’ve been keeping an eye on the upcoming rock climbing game _Cairn_ for a while now, and it’s clear that many players are excited, especially after the demo received an impressive 99 percent rating on Steam. In September, the developers decided to delay the game from its original 2025 launch to allow for some additional polish. Today, they unveiled a new trailer that confirms the updated release date: _Cairn_ will hit Steam and PlayStation 5 on January 29, 2026, priced at $30.

The Game Bakers have a solid reputation for crafting indie titles that stand out with their unique sense of place and character. This survival-climbing adventure seems like a fantastic new direction for the team, known for games like _Haven_ and _Furi_. _Cairn_ promises to capture the thrill of scaling mountains while exploring the psychological aspects of those who take on such daunting challenges. For those seeking an extra layer of difficulty, a free solo mode will be available, allowing players to embrace their inner daredevil without the safety of ropes.
