Craft Your Tribute to Noctua with Exclusive Brown and Beige Filaments for 3D Printing
I’m going to be honest here: my experience with 3D printing mostly comes from whatever my artist friend is working on. Typically, their 3D printer spits out claws, teeth, and horns, but I bet they’d appreciate a splash of color in their filament collection.
Now, Noctua and Prusa Research have teamed up to introduce two new 3D printing filaments in Noctua’s signature brown and beige hues. The Prusament PLA Noctua Beige and Prusament PLA Noctua Brown filaments are now available through Prusa Research, priced at $33/£31/€33 for each 1 kg spool.
It might seem odd to be a fan of a cooling brand, but Noctua has nailed that color scheme (who doesn’t love a white and dark chocolate-themed PC?). So, it makes sense that the highlight of this collaboration is creating 3D printed parts for your own brown-and-beige Noctua setup.
Josef Prusa, the CEO and founder of Prusa Research, shared, “Building your own PC is quite popular here in the Czech Republic, and I remember using Noctua fans in my builds back in the day. I’ve seen countless community projects trying to match Noctua’s iconic colors without success. I’m thrilled we could partner with Noctua to offer these color-matched filaments.”
These filaments are produced in-house by Prusa Research, based in Prague. Noctua stated in their announcement, “This ensures flawless, consistent quality with extremely tight tolerances (±0.02 mm), maximum color accuracy, and continuous monitoring.”
If you’re looking to elevate your next build to chocolate heaven, Noctua provides 3D files for fan grills, ducts, and more at Printables.com. These can be printed using the new filaments, and Noctua notes, “Thanks to their easy handling, low warpage, high hardness, versatility for various print sizes, and attractive finish, Prusament PLA filaments are perfect for both beginners and advanced users.”
That sounds like all the motivation I need to dive into 3D printing. Do you think my friend will take a break from their current project so I can spend hours crafting the dollhouse desktop shell of my dreams?
